Battery Backup Unit Upgrade Kit for existing Solar-Direct Systems

Do you already have an SD-Series Solar-Direct Aerator? If so, this package lets you upgrade your existing system to a Battery Backup System.

The package includes:

• 4 AGM Deep-Cycle Batteries, 120 Amp-Hours each

• Smart Controller with Digital Timer

• Solar Panel and upgrade hardware (optional, if needed)

IMPORTANT: The BBU Upgrade requires 2 solar panels. If your existing SD-Series aerator currently has a single solar panel, you'll need to select the 2nd panel option. Please contact us or call (254) 412-9890 if you have any questions.

The BBU Upgrade Kit includes the same core system as our full Battery Backup Systems:

• 48-Volt System with 4 AGM Batteries: A 48-volt system paired with 4 AGM batteries for extended backup and higher efficiency than systems that only use 2 batteries — more power and longer operation, even during challenging weather.
• Retrofit for Existing Solar-Direct Systems: If you already own one of our Solar-Direct aerators, you can add a Battery Backup System to your setup, or install a Solar-Direct system now and add the battery backup later.
• Smart Controller: Offers digital Time Clock functionality for precise control over run schedules, and actively manages cooling fan operation to extend fan life and improve battery longevity in cold weather.
• Optional Slow-Start Controller: Start your aeration system gradually over a two-week period, reducing the risk of fish kill.
• Industrial-Style Control Section with Full Wire Management: Keeps your installation clean, efficient, and safe.
• Magnetic Air Intake Louver: Inspect, clean, and reinstall in seconds, no tools required.
